Random Thoughts #2

The standardization of thought is kind of frightening. To let yourself think outside of the norm these days is not so much discouraged, but impossible. People live submerged in a system that prefers and strongly compels them to think inside certain defined boundaries. To disagree is simply to align yourself with another band. Don’t stand alone because it’s dangerous and frankly pointless. They encourage us to live as if we can’t make it on our own. Our thoughts and ideas have to be grounded on something. But why? Why do my ideas have to be grounded on some sort of theoretical background? Why is legitimacy only attributed to those who can correctly align themselves with something? Why is it discredited to take certain parts of something and incorporate them into another thing?

Life should be about the adoration of the simple. About the adoration of adoration. About existing in existing. About living and living and living and living. Colorful landscapes that spring into existence willingly. Playing to live. Playing to survive.

What is a tree but not the most magnificent thing? Not because it is complex, but because it is a tree. Because it is. Because you have the privilege to conceptualize it. Because it exists besides you or within you. Wherever it is, whatever it is, it is magnificent for being.

Let yourself feel. Doesn’t matter how you choose to categorize it or conceptualize it or contextualize it. None of that matters. What matters is that you feel it. Let yourself feel deep empathy and sympathy for anything around you. Let yourself be unashamed and unshackled by anything. You are whatever you are. Literally. There’s nothing telling you what you are. ‘You’ is a category without a clear definition and whoever is telling you that it does have one, is speaking from a place of uncertainty.
